Lothar Koob Joins EDGE Medical Devices Board of Directors

Industry Veteran Sees Huge Promise in Affordable, High-Quality Digital Radiography Equipment

RAANANA, Israel–(BUSINESS WIRE)–EDGE Medical Devices, the developer and manufacturer of Plasma DRTMflat-panel X-ray detector technology and the Universal Retrofit Kit for digital radiography, today announced the appointment of Lothar Koob, General Partner of Extera Partners, to its board of directors.

Mr. Koob joins the EDGE board of directors with nearly 30 years of experience in the medical imaging industry. He is co-founder of business advisory group Extera Partners, and throughout his career has been involved in almost every major medical imaging modality including CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Ophthalmic Imaging.

Mr. Koob has been involved in multiple cross-border acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, and global R&D projects. He holds several board positions with active operational roles in leading international companies in Europe and the United States. During his career, Mr. Koob has served as General Manager (GM) of the worldwide Ultrasound and MRI businesses for Siemens Medical Systems, President of the worldwide Ophthalmic Systems business for Zeiss/Humphrey, and Executive Vice President of Analogic Corporation.
